The Gate of Lapland hotel offers 16 high-quality and cozy rooms on two floors, providing a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views of the Tornionjokilaakso Valley and the Tornionjoki River, the longest free-flowing river in Europe.
Our rooms are designed for two or three guests, and some of the ground-floor rooms can be connected to form family rooms. If you wish to book connecting rooms, please contact us via email or phone.
We also welcome travelers with pets. However, please check the availability of pet-friendly rooms when making your reservation.

BREAKFAST
A delicious breakfast buffet prepared by Restaurant Väylä is served in the restaurant during peak seasons from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM (weekends from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM).
At other times, breakfast baskets are delivered to the hotel room's mini fridge the previous evening between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Breakfast is not included in the room price and is available only by pre-order.

Here we are!
Our hotel is located in Ylitornio, Tornionlaakso, just 30 kilometers from the Arctic Circle.
You can find us easily along Highway E8 (National Road 21), right on the border between Finland and Sweden, known as the world’s most peaceful border. The border follows the course of the clear, free-flowing Tornionjoki River.
The nearest airports are in Rovaniemi, Kemi, and Oulu.

You can also reach us conveniently by train. The train station is located in Ylitornio town center, less than two kilometers from our hotel.
In the town center, you will find a variety of services, including grocery stores, clothing stores, a pharmacy, and a swimming hall.
If you are arriving by car, you can charge your electric vehicle overnight in our hotel parking lot. We have as many charging stations as hotel rooms, and payment is made conveniently via the e-parking app.
